There Is A Spiritual Aspect To It
When I was a kid I used to have all these dreams about animals, places, people and moments that I couldn’t explain. And after walking up I used to tell those dreams to my parents as much as I could remember.
I thought maybe they could help me out, and give me a reasonable answer.
But all they used to say is there is nothing special attached to dreams. It is a result of overthinking. I think about so many things before going to sleep, it is just my mind keeps replaying all those thoughts even when I am asleep.
I listened to them, never satisfied with the answer.
I always felt like something is missing, there must be more to it.
Then I grew up, the internet came and one day I started searching for dreams. And of course, even on the internet, there are two groups, one tries to explain dreams in a scientific way and the other in a spiritual way.
The scientific blogs said dreams are nothing but our mind trying to warn us that something is bothering us internally that we are ignoring and we should address them for a healthy lifestyle.
Spiritual blogs say that dream is a doorway to the other world, our guardian angels, and spirit guide tries to warn us through dreams.
I myself am not a complete science or spiritual guy. I like to create a balance between these two. I think this is the best way to navigate this world.
It is a fact there are phenomena on this earth that cannot be explained, but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. I believe not everything on this earth is understandable to us. And sometimes we just have to acknowledge their existence without understanding them.
The dream is one such phenomenon.
From my point of view, according to science, our mind is capable of things that we haven’t discovered yet. Maybe those things can even reach a supernatural level.
While I don’t believe in guardian angels or spirit guides to be exact, I believe our mind picks up signals that we can’t process at the moment. And when we are sleeping, our mind tells us the processed results, that is why we see various moments.
For example, something that could have happened but never happened, or things that we should have done that could have benefitted us in the future.
Another thing is, that our mind picks up others’ brain waves which are connected to us when we are sleeping. As we are not using our brain actively during sleep, our mind uses all its power to pick up signals that are related to us and that is how those people appear in our dreams.
For example, if someone is thinking of us or talking about us.
All of these are just assumptions. Maybe in the future, we will get some concrete evidence as people are constantly researching dreams.
But one thing I am certain of, dreams are not limited to only our thoughts and feelings.
Thank you for staying until the end!
