Every day before going to sleep, I pray to god and then sit for a couple of seconds and finally lie down. It seemed to have an effect on the next day. Because those days go better for me. And other days when I don’t perform this particular ritual they go normal and sometimes bad.

This is one of my prime examples.

Other than this, posting at a particular time and in a pre-determined pattern gives me a lot of engagement on social media. Now you might say that there is a particular time when there are a lot of active users. But my posting time and that mentioned time is completely different.

When I am going for a meeting, on my way looking at certain objects makes the result of that meeting fruitful.

I have a lot of examples but these are the ones I could think of right now.

Do you have any rituals like these?

Many people all over the world believe in these things, while people around them ignore this fact or make fun of them for believing this.

Because as every fantasy movie said this line in one way or the other

There is magic everywhere. But you need to believe in magic first to see it.

If you ask me I think of a balanced view to look at this concept.

We all want to believe in miracles deep down. So when we see these signs we think this is the universe’s way of helping us. But ignore the fact that it has more to do with our own actions and less to do with the universe.

It is absolute that the universe helps us in many ways. One of them is luck, finding the right thing at the right time.

But the luck won’t work unless I put in the work.

Somedays when I think deeply I feel like maybe that meeting went well because I prepared well for it. Maybe that post got good engagement because it had engaging content. And finally, the day went better because I did this and this thing right.

Because the days when I don’t put in the work or give my everything, no matter how many rituals I perform they don’t give any positive results.

And after experimenting with it countless times I came to the conclusion that work and superstitions are interdependent. One won’t operate well without the other.

So if you are a believer of superstitions that is completely fine. Because they do exist. But don’t just wait for them to make everything easy for you. Put on the work first and then believe. Because universe alone can’t make you successful.

It is only possible when you and the universe both are pushing yourself.
