Comedy is a popular genre on T.V. Mostly because it helps us relax and gives us a good laugh after a stressful day. Over the years the style of comedy series have changed. Back in the day bacause of low budget they used to shoot the shows in studio by building sets, in front of a live studio audience. Recently I got to learn that the sound of people laughing in old shows are actually real people. Initially I found it very irritating but after watching a couple of old shows, I got used to it. But now they have the money so they shoot the shows in real locations and without the laughs they feel much better.
In this list I have included shows not only from recent time but from 2000’s, 1990’s even. With time came new technologies and more budget and shooting style of comedy shows may have changed. But I persoanlly believe two main ingredients of a successful coemdy show is its dialogues and the actor who is delivering those dialogues. This is the reason why some of the shows from 90’s are still popular to this day despite of having low budget and outdated shooting styles. This is the same reason why after having so much advanced equipments and shooting in various locations around the world, many shows doesn’t run for more than one season in the present. It is back then and even now is about the quality of the work.
